MISTER OYE-MBA, WHAT YOU CALL "PRAGMATISM" DOES NOT SIT WELL WITH US. MONSIEUR OYE-MBA, CE QUE VOUS APPELEZ « PRAGMATISME » NE NOUS SIED PAS

Image
English version
In his interview in Jeune Afrique, Mr. Casimir Oye Mba proposes his pragmatism as the excuse for his call for direct contacts and negotiations with Ali Bongo, and the reason why it is necessary for the opposition to go to the legislative elections. In short, for us, Mr. Casimir Oye Mba has just publicly thrown in the towel, although he continues to support Jean Ping, and to say that Ali Bongo lost the presidential election.
If one must recognize the independence of Mr. Casimir Oye Mba who separates himself from Jean Ping's position, and this is his absolute right, this blog does not accept this "pragmatism" which is in fact a request for surrender that Casimir Oye Mba makes to the opposition. We cannot accept this proposal for the following reasons:
1. What is there to negotiate with Ali Bongo, since Mr. Casimir Oye Mba himself says that Ali Bongo is clinging to power and does not intend to step down. What is to be negotiated with such a character, other tha…

Every dictatorship makes use of carrots and sticks in order to impose itself on dissidents. The Ali Bongo’s dictatorship is no exception to the rule.
To present the carrot, the very francafrican Jeune Afrique has been called to task. Through this weekly, the dissidents had to be told in non-uncertain terms, to lay down their arms; that they must stop challenging Ali Bongo’s Presidency and prepare instead for the legislative elections; and that if they were wise, they could be rewarded by a slight majority in the National Assembly and one of them, why not Jean Ping himself, could lead the National Assembly. It would be a co-habitation "everyone is beautiful, everyone is nice".
Imagine 61 opposition MPs in the National Assembly; that would make a lot of MP positions at more than a million CFA francs as a monthly salary; and many solidarity fees etc., to distribute among themselves. Many would find this to be a deal and judge this carrot to be delicious.
But at the …

GAGAN GUPTA WILL ONCE AGAIN TELL US THE STATE OF GABON SPENT NOTHONG FOR ITS PALM OIL PROJECT. GAGAN GUPTA VA ENCORE NOUS DIRE QUE L’ÉTAT GABONAIS N’A RIEN DÉPENSÉ DANS SON PROJET DE PALMIER À HUILE

“Long ways, long lies”, says the maxim. But Gagan Gupta will not fool us, for we are less stupid than the people he meets in Ali Bongo’s entourage.
When Olam borrows $ 228 million (114 billion CFA francs) from the BGFI owned by the Bongos, or Afreximbank and Ecobank; where does he want us to believe this money comes from (for BGFI Bank) and this loan is guaranteed by whom?
For all loans contracted by Olam Gabon, it is the Gabonese State that assumes responsibility for guaranteeing repayment of these loans. Olam receives the fresh money, but it is the Gabonese state that assumes the risks.
We will not give up !

GAGAN GUPTA IS KIDDING THE GABONESE PEOPLE. GAGAN GUPTA SE FOUT DES GABONAIS

English version
In an article published by Jeune Afrique, Gagan Gupta, Olam's boss in Gabon, said that the Gabonese state now has a modern port at Owendo in Libreville without spending a single CFA franc. This assertion is false and we can prove it.
If you do a search, you will find that in 2015 Ali Bongo awarded the contract for the construction and operation of a mineral terminal to Olam's subsidiary, Gsez Mineral, at the port of Owendo. But how was this project financed?
The amount of the project was CFAF 75.6 billion, and was financed as follows: 1. Olam contributed its own funds amounting to CFAF 24 billion. 2. Two creditors, the Central African Development Bank and BGFI Bank, which provided CFAF 51.6 billion.
The loans granted by these two creditors were guaranteed by the Gabonese State and not by Olam. Therefore, when Gagan Gupta asserts that the State has not spent anything, he is kidding us because the Gabonese taxpayer is the guarantor of these loans of 51.6 billion FCFA.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE LOWERING OF GABON’S NOTE BY FITCH. LES CONSÉQUENCES DE L’ABAISSEMENT DE LA NOTE DU GABON PAR FITCH

Image
English version
The rating agency Fitch has just lowered Gabon's rating from "B +" to "B", with a negative outlook. In an article entitled " Les conséquences de la dégradation de la note souveraine du Gabon ", published on May 12, 2015, by our shrewd compatriot Mays-Mouissi; an explanation of the effects of such a degradation had been given to us. But it seems important to us to recall these consequences.
The main consequence is that the recent degradation of Gabon's note is the death knell of the state lie that made people like Régis Immongault say that Gabon had the capacity to borrow to infinity to resist the effects of the crisis. The regime’s liars even qualified the loan granted to Gabon this year by the World Bank, as evidence that our country was financially credible.
Consequently, the lowering of the rating which comes at the moment when Gabon embarks on all-round international borrowing, will jeopardize the assessment of Gabon's repayme…

HOW CAN ONE BE TEACHING IN GABON AND SAYING SUCH STUPIDITIES? COMMENT PEUT-ON ÊTRE ENSEIGNANT AU GABON ET DIRE DE PAREILLES BÊTISES ?

Image
English version
His name is Donatien Nganga-Kouya; he is General Director of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de l'Enseignement Technique (Enset); he thinks that it is by increasing the tuition fees of the students in Gabon, that the crisis of education in the country would be resolved. This man is mad!
There are about 40,000 students in Gabon. If each student were to pay on average 60,000 CFA francs, the total sum raised would be 40,000 X 60,000 = CFAF 2.4 billion.
The budget for higher education in Gabon now stands at around 80 billion CFA francs; and we know the state of dilapidation of this sector. So it is not by adding CFAF 2.4 billion, or 3% of the total budget, that miracles will be produced.
Dear readers, there are crazy teachers in Gabon who support this dictatorship!
