"After having been yet authorized, the manifestation of the Gabonese opposition, long anticipated, was finally banned for incomprehensible reasons. We are have been witnessing however and for a while, a real campaign of disinformation and lies in the State media.

On the night from yesterday to today, at the request of the chief marabout of the President of the Republic, an operation of beheading of sheep and oxen was orchestrated on the site where is to be held the rally of the Gabonese opposition. Tanks and water pump-cars have even taken up very early this morning at Carrefour Rio, the site of the protest meeting of the Gabonese people.

The illegitimate power in Libreville continues its acts of intimidation such as the arbitrary detention since last night of journalists Jonas Moulenda and Desiré Emane. Other incarceration attempts of some opposition leaders were ordered early this morning, in particular that of Luc-NSI Bengone who fortunately was not home.

Despite all this, the free and sovereign people continue to flock in mass at the place of the meeting. "

"Après avoir pourtant été autorisée, la manifestation de l'opposition gabonaise, prévue de longue date, a finalement été interdite, pour des raisons incompréhensibles. Nous assistons d'ailleurs depuis un moment à une véritable campagne de désinformation et de mensonges dans les médias d’Etat.

Dans la nuit d'hier à aujourd'hui, à la demande du marabout en chef du Président de la République, une opération d’égorgement de moutons et de bœufs a été orchestrée sur le site où doit se tenir le meeting de l’opposition gabonaise. Des chars et des autos-pompes ont même pris place très tôt ce matin au Carrefour Rio, lieu du meeting de protestation du peuple gabonais.

Le pouvoir illégitime de Libreville poursuit ses actes d’intimidation comme la garde à vue arbitraire depuis hier soir des journalistes Jonas Moulenda et Désire Emane. D'autres tentatives d’incarcération de certains leaders de l'opposition ont été ordonnées très tôt ce matin dont en particulier celle de Luc BENGONE-NSI qui fort heureusement n’était pas chez lui.

En dépit de tout cela, le peuple libre et souverain continue d'affluer massivement au lieu prévu du meeting."
