When you know that writing a few words unpleasant to the regime for the editorial staff of a newspaper such as Ezombolo to be notified of a suspension of 6 months; what would compel temple guard like the Director General of Gabon Television, David Ella Mintsa, to take the risk of allowing Jean Eyeghe Ndong on the airwaves, if they not already know that no declaration nor sensational accusation would be made and that the interview would ultimately be very nice and civil?

Dear readers, all the signs are in front of us all. This blog is concluding in light of what is happening before our eyes, that as in the past, the Bongo regime is about to complete its conquest of the Gabonese declared political opposition. To have a Jean Eyeghe Ndong on a show like « La Grande Interview » is not a coincidence, but the clear desire of the regime and also Jean Eyeghe Ndong and his associates to report a thawing of the relationship between the opposition that they embody and the Bongo regime. Here and now, we can say that the regime and the opposition march together, goose-stepping towards a political destination that will offer a false democratic showcase thanks to the management of some municipalities by the opposition. Ali Bongo is eager to declare the improvement of the internal political situation, by waving like a trophy: Jean Eyeghe Ndong, Mayor of Libreville.

You must know, dear readers may be on your way to enrollment on the electoral list, that to become Mayor of Libreville under the current situation of the country, Jean Eyeghe Ndong only needs one vote, that of Ali Bongo. In the calculations of the regime, the pacification of the declared political opposition would leave only part of the civil society as a last ditch group calling for a different Gabon. But the civil society unfortunately does not have the resources to fight alone.

It seems, dear readers, that unfortunately in politics in Gabon, everything is transient if ephemeral, except the presence of the Bongos in power, which is permanent. This is probably the rub on the Gabonese political spectrum, everything is done to discredit any opposition to such an extent that it becomes impossible for thinking Gabonese citizens to tell with certainty who the reliable Gabonese politician of the opposition are in their eyes. Do this exercise yourself, dear readers, think about the question of who is the most reliable (in the sense of: reliability of convictions) opposition politician. The answer is not self-evident, demonstrating that the self-inflicted undermining of the opposition has the effect of reducing it significantly.

Ali Bongo uses the same recipes his father used, to taint the opposition. Yesterday it was Paul Mba Abessole who started with the status of a scholar offering hope to the Gabonese people, and ended finally kneeling before Omar Bongo. Yesterday it was Mamboundou who compromised himself with the regime, after long years of struggle, now it seems that Jean Eyeghe Ndong is traveling the same pathway leading to cordiality.

This blog firmly believe, and this despite the difficulties of the moment, in the intrinsic greatness of Gabonese people and their willingness and desire to have leaders, in power and in opposition, who will comply with their aspirations. Leaders who will have confidence in the people, who will respect these people and be accountable to them. Unfortunately, today, we are far from that.

Si la démission effective de toute l’opposition déclarée, dans les grands débats tenaillants la société gabonaise, démontrait que la pacification de cette opposition politique étaient déjà acquise; la chorégraphie du cheminement de Jean Eyeghe Ndong depuis l’annonce d’une supposée rencontre avec Ali Bongo, laisse clairement apparaitre à l’observateur averti, tous les signes d’une normalisation en cours.

En effet, si pour son retour explicatif sur la scène électorale au Gabon, Jean Eyeghe Ndong s’était vu gracieusement offert les ondes de TeleAfrica, une chaine de télévision appartenant à la famille Bongo; pour en remettre une couche supplémentaire et mieux le positionner dans l’évènementiel politique Gabonais, c’est l’émission « La Grande Interview » sur Gabon Télévision qui accueillait cette semaine nul autre que le candidat à la Mairie de Libreville. Chers lecteurs, il y a bien longtemps que les médias d’Etats n’avaient pas été si généreux envers un membre de l’opposition.

Quand on sait qu’il leur suffit d’écrire un petit mot de travers pour que l’équipe éditoriale d’un journal comme Ezombolo soit notifiée d’une suspension de paraitre sans appel de 6 mois, quelle mouche a donc piqué le gardien du temple qu’est le Directeur General de Gabon Télévision, David Ella Mintsa, de prendre le risque d’autoriser d’antenne Jean Eyeghe Ndong, s’il ne savait déjà qu’aucune déclaration ni accusation fracassante ne serait faite et que l’interview serait en définitive bon enfant?

Chers lecteurs, tous les signes sont devant nous tous. Ce blog déduit, au vu de ce qui se passe sous nos yeux, que comme par le passé, le régime Bongo est en train de parachever sa conquête de l’opposition politique déclarée au Gabon. Le passage d’un Jean Eyeghe Ndong à une émission comme « La Grande Interview » n’est pas un hasard, mais la manifeste volonté du pouvoir et aussi de Jean Eyeghe Ndong et ses associés, de signaler une éclaircie des relations entre l’opposition qu’ils incarnaient et le pouvoir Bongo. Nous pouvons ici dire que désormais, le régime et cette opposition marchent ensembles, au pas de l’oie, vers une destination politique qui proposera une fausse vitrine démocratique grâce à la gérance de certaines municipalités par l’opposition. Ali Bongo a hâte de déclarer l’amélioration de la situation politique intérieure, en brandissant comme trophée un Jean Eyeghe Ndong, Maire de Libreville.

Sachez, chers lecteurs peut être sur le chemin de l’enrôlement sur les liste électorales, que pour devenir Maire de Libreville, dans la situation actuelle du pays, Jean Eyeghe Ndong n’a besoin que d’une seule voix, celle d’Ali Bongo. Dans les calculs du régime, cette pacification de l’opposition politique déclarée, ne laisserait plus qu’une frange de la société civile comme dernier rempart appelant à un Gabon différent. Mais cette société civile n’a malheureusement pas les ressources nécessaires pour se battre toute seule.

Il semble, chers lecteurs, que malheureusement en politique au Gabon, tout soit transitoire sinon éphémère, sauf la présence au pouvoir des Bongo, qui elle est permanente. C’est probablement là que le bât blesse sur l’échiquier politique gabonais, tout est fait pour décrédibiliser toute opposition, à tel point qu’aujourd’hui il soit impossible à un gabonais pensant de vous dire avec certitude quel est le politicien gabonais d’opposition le plus fiable à leurs yeux. Faites vous-même l’exercice, chers lecteurs; réfléchissez sur la question de savoir qui est le politicien d’opposition le plus fiable (au sens de: fiabilité des convictions). La réponse ne coule pas de source, démontrant que le travail de sape que s’auto inflige l’opposition a pour effet de la diminuer de manière significative.

Ali Bongo utilise les mêmes recettes que son père pour vicier l’opposition. Hier ce fut Paul Mba Abessole qui partit du statut d’espoir érudit du peuple gabonais, pour finir à genoux devant Omar Bongo. Hier ce fut Mamboundou qui se fourvoya auprès du régime, après de longues années de lutte; aujourd’hui il semble que Jean Eyeghe Ndong soit en train d’emprunter ce même sentier menant à la convivialité.

Ce blog croit fermement et ce malgré les difficultés du moment, en la grandeur intrinsèque des populations Gabonaises et en leur volonté et désir d'avoir des dirigeants, pouvoir et opposition, conforment à ses aspirations. Des dirigeants qui auraient confiance en les populations, qui respecteraient ces populations et leurs seraient redevable. Malheureusement, aujourd’hui, nous restons bien loin du compte.
